Billy Caron - Town Council
Billy Caron is completing his ninth term on the Montville Town Council. He currently serves as Chair of the Public Works Standing Committee and acts as liaison to Montville Social Services, the Commission on Aging, and local Nonprofit Organizations.
A lifelong resident of Montville, Billy is deeply rooted in the community he serves. He and his wife, Debbie, are both local business owners. Together, they raised two children who graduated from Montville Public Schools.

Joe Jaskiewicz - Town Council
Joe Jaskiewicz is completing his eighth term on the Montville Town Council. He previously served as Mayor of Montville from 2003 to 2011. On the Council, Joe currently serves as Chair of the Town Administration/Rules and Procedures Standing Committee, is a member of the Finance Committee, and acts as liaison to both the Board of Education and the Planning and Zoning Committee.
Joe and his wife, Beverly, have lived in Montville for 47 years. Together, they raised two children and remain dedicated to serving and supporting the community they’ve long called home.

Tim May - Town Council
Tim May, current Town Council Chair, is completing his sixth term on the Montville Town Council, two of which he has served as Chair. He also serves as Chair of the Finance Committee.
Tim’s priorities focus on building a stronger, more supportive community. He is committed to ensuring quality and affordable education for our youth, expanding outreach programs for seniors, and raising funds to assist seniors in need. Tim supports enhancing Park & Recreation services to benefit all residents, and he is dedicated to establishing a town–state initiative that provides funding for spouses and family caregivers, enabling seniors to remain in their homes with proper daily living care. All of this will be guided by a commitment to fiscal responsibility and accountability in the town budget.
Tim is a U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran and the owner of May Engineering. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He and his wife, Bonnie, have lived in Montville for 26 years, and their three children are all proud graduates of Montville Public Schools.

Nick Sabilia - Town Council
Nick Sabilia is completing his first term on Town Council. Nick currently serves as liaison to the Public Safety Commission, Conservation Commission, and Youth Services Bureau and Advisory Board.
Nick is committed to ensuring the Board of Education receives the funding it needs to provide a quality education for all students. He will continue working to improve and maintain Montville’s infrastructure, clean up and beautify town properties, and ensure proper enforcement of blight regulations. Nick also supports continued investment in public safety so Montville remains a community where families want to raise their children and retirees are proud to call home.
A lifelong resident of Montville, Nick has been employed at Montville High School where he manages the Student Support Center and is an assistant football coach. He is also an NCAA football referee and Junior College and High School baseball umpire. Nick is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.S. in Business Management.

Kate Southard - Town Council
Kate Southard is completing her first term on Town Council. She currently serves as liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission, Farmers Market Committee, and Raymond Library.
Kate’s priorities focus on strengthening Montville for today and tomorrow. She is committed to continuing the repair and refurbishment of our aging parks and recreational areas, ensuring a quality education for all children, and expanding programming through the Recreation Department to serve residents of all ages. She will work to provide our police, fire, and emergency services with the resources they need, push forward on critical infrastructure projects, and craft budgets that are both sustainable for the future and fiscally responsible today.
Kate is an elementary math interventionist and has taught in Stonington Public Schools for 26 years. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Sociology, Southern Connecticut State University with a Master’s in Public Health, and the University of New Haven with a Master of Science in Elementary Education. Kate and her husband, Jason, have lived in Montville for 23 years. They have a grown son who graduated from Montville Public Schools.

Bill Barlow - Town Council
Bill Barlow is running for his first term on the Montville Town Council. He retired from the City of New London after 35 years of service, 15 of which he spent as Foreman of all city buildings, overseeing budgets, maintenance, and construction. Bill is a former Union President for Local 1378 Council 4 and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission and as a member of the Board of Directors for Read to Ride.
Bill’s priorities center on building a safe, thriving, and fiscally responsible community. He is committed to ensuring fiscal responsibility across all departments, expanding services and programs for seniors, and exploring ideas for a new community center. Bill will also works with Public Safety officials to maintain and enhance safety for all residents.
Bill and his wife, Diane, have lived in Montville for 37 years. They have two children who attended Montville Public Schools.

Tim Shanahan - Board of Education
Tim Shanahan is completing his first term on the Board of Education. He has served on the Montville Youth Advisory Board for 25 years and is a Life Member of both the Montville Fire Company and the Chesterfield Fire Company, where he currently serves as Treasurer. Tim is also a member of the Montville Polish Club and VFW Post 10060.
A U.S. Army veteran, Tim has lived in Montville for the past 60 years. He and his wife, Donna, are proud members of the Montville community.

Angela Sherbanee - Board of Education
Angela Sherbanee is a newcomer running for a seat on the Board of Education. She currently serves as a Commissioner of the Montville Housing Authority and previously contributed as a member of the Superintendent’s Community Committee. Angela has also given back through her work as a volunteer foster with the Connecticut Humane Society.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, and has been a proud resident of Montville for 24 years.

Joe Socha - Board of Education
Joe Socha is running for his first term on the Board of Education. A 45-year resident of Montville, Joe has served on the Board of Assessment Appeals and the Zoning Board of Appeals. He has also worked as a substitute teacher for Montville Public Schools.
Joe is a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut. His adult children are proud graduates of Montville Public Schools.
